Dual-Tank Water Softeners in Convoy, OH

Dual-tank water softeners in Convoy, OH solve a problem single-tank units can't: there's always one tank online. While one resin tank regenerates, the other keeps softening, so you never get a slug of hard water at 2 a.m. or during a long run of laundry.

Convoy, OH Water Softener Installation recommends twin-tank systems in a few situations:

• Very hard water, above about 25 gpg, where a single tank would regenerate too often
• Large households or homes with high, steady water use
• Homes with people on night shifts who use water during the usual regeneration window
• Light commercial spaces like small restaurants and salons

Most dual-tank systems use a metered valve such as a Fleck 9100 or 9500. The meter counts gallons and switches tanks when one reaches capacity. That means regeneration only happens when it's needed, which saves salt compared to a timer.

The install takes more room than a single tank, with two mineral tanks sharing one brine tank. We plan the layout, confirm the drain can handle the backwash flow, and plumb in a bypass so the whole system can come off line for service.
